The video for the song “Red Boots” features Zara and her band and her two daughters on the shore of Asbury Park. Of the song and video, Zara says,
“My fantasy as a child was different. I was looking at the faces of women on the streets to see if I could pick out the face of the woman that gave me up for adoption. Red Boots is about childhood, loss of innocence, awakening into adulthood and a profound love of the relationship with a Mother and child.”
